high leigh
HIGH LEIGH CONFERENCE CENTER, ENGLAND

WIN Europe, Mediterranean and Middle East (EMEM) 3 day Youth Congress in Broxbourne, Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, England last July was a big success. Below is Reverend Rene Nepomuceno's (Regional Director for Europe & Middle East) report to Reverend Jong Duterte (International Youth Director & Reional Director for Canada)

Dear Bro. Jong,

I write to report to you the amazing results of the Youth Congress. It was indeed a wonderful and a landmark experience for our church family. I thank God whom we served who never fail to leads us to the path we have to trek. I attached herewith a copy of the resolutions which the young leaders worked on for long hours in three days; and a ppt of Youth Regional Core leadership and their areas of responsibilities. We will be calling the youth group in our region ALL 4 HIM (to represent the all out commitment of four young Hebrew kid, Daniel, Shadrach, Meschach and Abedneggo).

We are still in the Youth camp and it is just humbling to see those young kids which we use to carry in our arms expressing their love and faith for the LORD. There are about 70 campers including youth ministry head leaders from UAE, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Ireland, Switzerland and the UK.

Thank you for your prayers and support.

Bro. Rene

RESOLUTION
World International Ministries
Europe, Middle East & Mediterranean
1st Regional Youth Congress
High Leigh Conference Centre
Lord Street, Hoddesdon
Hertfordshire, EN11 8SG, UK
23 – 25 July, 2008

  1. It is resolved that a youth manual addressing relevant faith issues in a

pluralistic (secular, multi culture and multi faith) society will be developed

by a team of pastors and some of the youth leaders to be headed by

Pastor Stefan Tiran within a year’s time (July 2009)

As Christians who live in the world but not of the world, we are fully

aware of the dangers that can be a result of abusing alcohol intake.

Therefore, we are not ashamed to take a stand against usage of alcohol

drinks that can lead to violence, sexual activities and addiction. We

believe and value that our body is the temple of God to glorify Him.

1.) We as true Christians believe that dating should be defined as a process

of courtship therefore it should be conducted honorably with

parental and spiritual guidance and with the intention of marriage. We

resolve to avoid intimacy and any form of commitments that could

endanger our Christian values and purity.

2.) We believe that technology is a product of God-given wisdom and

ingenuity to humankind with a potential to elevate and improve the

quality of life. However we also believe that technology can be mis-

used and abused which can lead to the detriment of an individual, family

                         and community.

Therefore, we resolve to be vigilant, discerning and

prudent, finding other hobbies, prioritizing and managing our time wisely,

referring to the principles set by the Bible and seeking the help of our

parents for the choice of content and use of technology.

3.) We believe that God created us with the intellectual ability to learn and

that education is a fundamental part of developing, enhancing and

fulfilling of the life He has given us.

Therefore, with the help, support and motivation of our family and the

church, we resolve to excel in learning in all areas of our life for the

development of our God-given potential to equip us to be better

individuals serving the local and global community.

Furthermore, with the help of parents and the church, we resolve to

explore and identify potential resources for the education of well-

                         deserving young people

4.) We believe that family is the basic social unit instituted by God where

values and Christian faith are formed, emotional and social skills are

developed and relationships are nurtured. But, we understand that there

are youths who have personal and family concerns that we can address.

Therefore, we resolve that we will welcome youth to the church family

as equals and foster an atmosphere of openness and trust between the

youth,  youth leaders, parents and church leaders.

To achieve this, we will organize activities to promote bonding such as

parent and youth activities and with the help of the church to guide both

 parents and the youth.
